Hypertufa - Part Two

My second attempt worked out sooo much better than the first.  It came right off the mold and didn't stick to anything!  I took it off after 24 hours and roughed up the edges a little, and ran a wire brush over it.  Much easier.  Using plastic bags around the form and underneath - perfect.

A few more details - try to make it look as much like stone as possible.  Now, just wait a month for it to set.

You have got to try this...

  5. Seeing as how I am completely ignorant of the whole hypertufa process... why does it take a month to set?

  6. Concrete (cement and aggregate) takes about 14 days to cure and then continues to harden for decades. I'm not sure why everyone says a month with hypertufa - but since I am new at it and they are experienced, I listen to them,

  7. Remember to coat it with yoghurt in Spring to encourage moss to grow,or does that not work with hypertufa.
