What the seeds look like are half moons. They don't make very good cut flowers as you don't want to cut the stem with so many ready to bloom buds which just faint away in a vase but will bloom like daylilies for the whole summer. They dry well and can be used in dry flower arrangements because they keep their bright sunny look even when dried. They can be invasive if you let the seed pods drop but if you dead-head them and collect a few seed pods you can put them wherever you want.
